This is a very special motorcycle. I put a lot of time and money into creating what I think is a fantastic looking and great handling Monster. More than $3500 worth of choice accessories and modifications went into this motorcycle.
The Cycle Cat top triple clamp, clip-ons and rearsets are the highlight of the package. They are beautifully CNC crafted and were the best available - and were hideously expensive. They are pure motorcycle jewelry, but very functional, too.The clipons adjust for angle and reach. The rearsets adjust for peg height, reach, shift and brake lever angle, etc. Cycle Cat products are pure unobtanium these days, sadly.
The Constructors Racing Group (CRG) brake & clutch levers and Hindsight mirror are almost as nice as the Cycle Cat products. Also beautiful, functional and highly adjustable.
In my opinion, 2000 was the perfect year for a Ducati Monster S! That year, Ducati assembled the tastiest combination of parts for the Monster S:
- Fuel injected 904cc 90 degree V-Twin engine
- Showa fully adjustable inverted forks
- Ohlins fully adjustable rear shock
- Carbon fiber front and rear fenders
- Stainless steel braided brake lines
To this I've added:
- Ducati Performance Carbon Fiber side covers
- Ducati Performance Carbon Fiber instrument panel
- CRG adjustable clutch & brake levers
- CRG Hindsight bar end mirrors
- Cycle Cat top triple clamp
- Cycle Cat highly adjustable clipons
- Cycle Cat highly adjustable rearsets
- Hanson Racing Technology carbon fiber/kevlar clutch cover (not just decorative like other CF clutch covers, it's strong enough to hold up the entire motorcycle)
- K&N air filter
- Fast by Ferracci Forza Carbon Fiber slipon mufflers
- Steering damper
- Sargent saddle w/ storage underneath
- Poggipolini anodized alloy fasteners
- Evoluzione side stand bypass kit (enables running the engine on the side stand)
- Simplified the license plate mount
- Removed stickers and rerouted cabling and wires to hide them behind the frame members for a tidier look
I'm just not riding this terrific motorcycle as much as it deserves, so it's time to pass it on to someone who will get more use out of it.
- Original adult owner. Never raced, never dropped.
- Just over 10,000 miles. Next service due at 12,000 miles.
- Super clean
- Near perfect condition. All the paint and carbon fiber is flawless.
- Only significant flaws are erratic fuel level sensor (commmon on these Ducatis) and a few marks where the windscreen touches the instrument panel.
- Excellent Pirelli Diablo Strada tires with only a few hundred miles on them
- Orignally well over $14,000
- SOLD
