This is Delta's very first Limited Edition pen. It is one of the most beautiful pens too, in my opinion. the fiery red and gray/green celluloid recall the fire and lava of Mount Vesuvius, which erupted and buried the Roman cities of Pompeii and Herculaneum in AD 79.
In addition to the beautiful celluloid, the pen features a solid 9kt gold cap band and cap top medallion, as well as a gold-filled clip and lever of Delta's Lateral Lever filler.
#1223 of 1600 fountain pens made. Delta has recently released a recreation of this pen, selling at $1800.
Complete with inner and outer boxes & booklet, along with the bottle of special Delta Pompei red ink with special gold anodized cap.
